Book Review: 'Til Death by Bella Jewel

Katia fell in love with a jerk. They met. They hooked up for a few months. They married. But she was just a business deal to Marcus. A way for him to keep his family business. He doesn't lover. He has no intention of ever loving her. He just needs her as his wife for the next two years. What will happen if she ever finds out the truth?

So this is the first Bella Jewel book that I have read and i really enjoyed it. A lot. It is told from dual point of views while also going back and forth between the present and past. You would think that all of that jumping around would be a bit confusing but I thought it flowed very nicely. I found myself curious about the back story of how Katia and Marcus came to be and then waiting on the edge of my seat to see what happens when she finds out the truth. And it is inevitable that she will find out, so you spend the majority of the book anticipating the big blow out.

Book Review: Dark Light (Dark Light #1) by S.L. Jennings

Gabriela has just turned 20 and been completely shocked by her adoptive parents. Surprise! You're magical! She certainly didn't see that one coming. Already struggling with herself and what she wants to do with her life; this new knowledge confuses her even more. Armed with her birth mother's journal she starts to discover more about what happened to her parents, what exactly they were and what she is destined to be. While it starts to answer some questions, it also leaves her with even more. Then she meets sexy as hell Dorian and he is the only thing in her life that seems right. She needs him like she needs air to breathe. Sometimes it appears he feels the same way. But there's something more to Dorian and although she senses it, she chooses to ignore it. For now. He makes her feel safe and loved but is he just luring her into a false sense of security?

So I finally ventured out of my typical comfort zone for the second time and started another paranormal romance series, and I loved every damn minute of it! There are no vampires or werewolves here as those are not my cup of tea. In this world there are magical beings, some of the Light and others the Dark. What is unique about Gabriella is she doesn't have a "side" and she must choose one by her 21st birthday. This has Dark beings looking for her, wary of what she will choose and how powerful she is destined to be. Her inner turmoil while she navigates life with this new information is real and easy to relate to you. I mean if I just found out that I had supernatural powers, then yeah, I'd be a mess. At this early point, she is torn between the two sides. And her conflicting thoughts over the two men in her life, Jared and Dorian, mirrors that.

Book Review: Dirty Rowdy Thing (Wild Seasons #2) by Christina Lauren

Harlow and Finn were married for a mere hours after a crazy night in Vegas with their friends. And those hours were filled with the best sex of both their lives. But after that night, they quickly got an annulment and went their separate ways. Since everyone is still friends though, and two of the group still married to one another, it was only a matter of time before they see each other again. Will they be able to keep their hands off each other this time?

Both Harlow and Finn have a lot going on in their lives and could use the sexual distraction. But soon, what started out as just distraction turns into something more. Can a relationship between them even work when Finn will have to return home to Canada soon?

So I had mixed feelings about Finn, especially in the beginning of the book. I mean, he tended to be an ass, especially to Harlow, which was completely undeserved. But when it came to getting down and dirty? Dear God I loved him. What that man could do with some rope is downright sinful. And wonderful.

My Favorite Scenes from the Fifty Shades of Grey Trailer #OfficialFifty

Hours after the new Fifty Shades of Grey Trailer had aired for the first time  last night, I was still sitting with my iPad in hand watching it over and over. After just enjoying it countless times, I eventually started taking some screenshots of some scenes. And in the wee hours of the night I put together a few of my favorites, and believe me narrowing it down was hard. But here they are and every time I look at them I want to fast forward to February. Surely, I can survive 3 more months, right?

Book Review: Second Position (Dirty Dancing #2) by Melody Grace

I. Love. This. Serial.

Why?

Raphael

Sweet baby Jesus he is amazing and the way Melody writes him as he is dancing... I can see him moving sensually to the music in my mind. I want to do bad things to him.

And I love how Annalise is going away from her normal behavior of being 200% focused on ballet to making lots of room for Raphael. I do not, however, like a certain Italian chic and her jealousy. Yup just added a second person to my "needs to be bitch slapped list" right below dear old mom.

A lot happens in book two despite it being a quick read. There is dancing and some hot and heavy make-out sessions, finally ending on quite the surprise. Annalise has to decide if Raphael is worth the risk. I know what my answer is but what will hers be?

I really am enjoying this serial immensely and I am dying for the third and final installment!

Book Review: Hansel Part 1 by Ella James

I never though I would get into erotic fairytales until I read Ella James' Red & Wolfe serial. Keep in mind that these are not simple retellings of the original stories with some sex added in. They are modern day adaptations and they are fabulous. And yes, very very naughty.

When Leah was a teenager she was kidnapped and held against her will in a house with many children in the same situation. The only thing that got her through each day was the boy in the next room: Hansel. Ten years after her capture and subsequent freedom, she is still struggling to survive in the after of such a traumatic event. The moment she sees him again it all comes crashing down. She needs to get close to him. Talk to him. Touch him again.

Since getting out of that house, Edgar (Hansel) has made a name, and a lot of money, for himself by opening sex clubs around the country. He's back at his original club in Vegas and while here he needs to find a new sub. The requirements? His subs must look as much like her as possible.
