Book Review: Worth Forgiving (MMA Fighter #3) by Vi Keeland

Jax is dealing with the aftermath of his father's scandals and it is beyond aggravating. The paparazzi are hounding his every step and he hopes that getting out of D.C. will get him out of the spotlight, even for just a few days. His business trip to New York City to check out a potential investment is just what he needs. Including some work out time in the ring.

Lily has had a rough go of it as of late. After losing her father, she turned to the first man to make her forget the pain. Now she is having a hard time getting rid of the crazy, possessive jerk. She is hoping that once she secures a silent investor for her father's chain of gyms, she can finally get Caden out of the picture.

Sigh. Where do I start? Let me go with Jax because I loved him. I mean, what's not to love about a sexy MMA fighter who can talk a little dirty when needed? Add in the fact that he also looks damn fine in a designer suit and just...yeah. He's got just the right amount of alpha going on, not too over the top, and he knows just how to use it. Despite his father being the lowest of scum, Jax in the complete opposite. He is sweet yet determined to move things with Lily out of the friend zone.

Book Review: Sugar on the Edge (Last Call #3) by Sawyer Bennett

So I think that I may have a problem.

"What is it," you ask? Well, I seem to have a thing for heroes with an asshole streak. I don't know why, I just love them!

Gavin is a popular, British writer who has come to the Outer Banks to try and dig himself out from the bottom of a bottle and finish writing his next book. The former is is proving to be very difficult. He spends a few hours a day writing and the rest of his time in a Scotch induced oblivion. In between, he is a giant douche to anyone he comes in contact with. Especially his new housekeeper, Savannah.

Savannah is barely able to stand up during the day. The 3 jobs she has to leave little time for sleep or food, but she refuses help from anyone. Her new boss might be a ginormous jerk, but he pays well and is easy on the eyes. Gavin is determined to prove that she is the timid girl he thinks she is, so he is not expecting the fire that ignites within her when he pushes.

Book Review: Ecstasy Unbound (The Guardians of the Realms #1) by Setta Jay

This is probably going to be a long winded review with a lot of background info on me that you don't care about, but that's just too bad. lol. If you've been following me at all over the past year you know that I don't read paranormal romance. More specifically, I have NEVER read one. Ever. I don't have anything against the genre, it's just that blood sucking vampires and werewolves don't interest me. Author Setta Jay is someone I have chatted with on social media often and she is an absolute sweetheart so when she was like "The prequel novella to my PNR series is FREE!" I was all like "OK, I'll give it a try." And do you know what happened? I liked it. A lot.

Now paranormal books might not have ever been my thing, but fantasy was. Before I discovered Fifty Shades of Grey and all things smut, I read Star Wars novels. A lot of them. I have to say that Setta's The Guardians of the Realms series feels more like fantasy to me with paranormal elements, which is probably why I'm enjoying it so  much. There are no undead, no vampires. Instead there are steaming hot Immortals, Demi-Gods, shape-shifters and that is totally right up my alley. The first page that popped up when I started Ecstasy Unbound was the characters/terms list and I immediately got giddy. I forgot how much I liked fantasy worlds so I dove right in and never looked back!

Book Review: Indiscretion Volume 1 by Elisabeth Grace

Chloe has fought hard to get where she is in life today. She always follows the rules and stays on the straight and narrow to ensure that her and her sister are taken care of. But just once she's like to do something fun and out of character. Something naughty. And her best friend's bachelorette party in New York City seems like the perfect place to do just that. Max is used to women throwing themselves at him. Used to people wanting something from him because of his last name. It would be nice to meet someone who just wanted him and not his money. Maybe he could have some fun with the gorgeous blonde across the club.

Chloe and Max's "indiscretion" is super, super hot and left me, and Max, wanting more. But Chloe wants this to be a one time thing and can't get away fast enough. Damn I wanted to smack that woman! She could at least have gotten a few rounds in before bolting. However two months later they are both surprised when they run into each other in Chloe's small hometown. Max is determined to show her that they both want and deserve more than that one incredible night.

Now this is a four book serial so yes there is a cliffy here. I literally yelled "what!?!" at the end of this first installment, but then I remembered that I already had the ARC of volume two, which I immediately dove into. Muahahahaha.

The blurb is what initially drew me to this serial and the first book did not disappoint. I can't wait to see what's next for Chloe and Max, including more hot sex!
