Love: Uncivilized (Uncivilized #1.5) by Sawyer Bennett

Eight years after Zach and Moira fell in love, now they are married with two young children. While their love is still going strong, they are struggling with the mundane and stress that seem to have taken over. Can they find a way to work through their issues and have a happy Christmas?

I think this short read is something that any married couple with kids can relate to. You sometimes just get to a point where your relationship with your spouse takes a back seat to the kids and maybe even work. It's not right, but unfortunately it's what happens.

Moira is home with her two kiddos while Zach works crazy long hours. His time away is starting to take a toll on his family, especially with Moira reentering the workforce. Thankfully their sex life hasn't tamed at all and Zach still can be wild animal in bed.  But God I was so frustrated with both of them. With Zach for knowing his wife was unhappy but choosing to ignore it and then with Moira for not opening her damn mouth and discussing the issues. So yeah, frustrating. But very real.

As usual, Sawyer's writing is engaging, fun and damn hot and I really enjoyed this quick holiday novella. I highly recommend reading Uncivilized first though this can be read as a stand alone.

Book Review: The Cornerstone (Walsh Family #4) by Kate Canterbary

I love this fuckin series so hard!

OK now that I've gotten that out of the way...

Shannon Walsh is the glue that holds her family together. Her four brothers count on her for pretty much everything and she gives her all to take care of their every need. But she doesn't let anyone take care of her. Whether she wants to admit it or not, it is starting to take its toll.

When Will Halsted met the smart mouthed red head at his sister's wedding, he immediately thought of ways to keep her mouth busy and quiet. Their heated words turn into a couple nights of intense passion. Then that one weekend turned into stolen weekends together here and there. Soon he realizes he could never get enough of her. But she's got thick brick walls surrounding her heart and he's determined to be the man to knock them down.

Hands down, Will is my new favorite hero in this series. He is the perfect amount of bossy, attentive and loving all wrapped up in a hot Navy SEAL package. I absolutely loved the snarky banter between these two that almost always led to super hot hate fucking. And the dirty things that came out of his mouth? Totally melted me into a puddle of goo.

Book Review: Blindsight Volume 2 by Adriane Leigh

I was so flippin' excited when this book hit my Kindle; it was literally a stop what I am doing and start reading immediately moment.Book 1 of this serial ended with Hunter dropping the bomb that he knows Erin's secret and we pick right back up from there. In turn, some of his own secrets are revealed, but I get the feeling he is hiding a whole hell of a lot more.

Erin is torn between running for the hills or staying in the comfort of Hunter's bed/ She makes the choice I know I would have made - Hunter. I mean really, there is just no denying that man. Some hot sexcapades ensue as they travel for his photography, but when they return home things get a bit frenzied. And then BAM, another mega cliffy.

I have some ideas on who some people truly are and some of the connections that are still unknown. But then with that ending, I'm left thinking that I have no clue what the hell is going on. There is definitely more to Hunter then he is letting on and I can't decided if it is good stuff or bad.

This second installment was steamy and thrilling and still has me hooked. I can't wait for book 3!

Book Review: Final Debt (Indebted #6) by Pepper Winters #Giveaway

Finally, it's here! The thrilling, erotic, nail biting, "OMFG I can't take anymore!" conclusion to Pepper Winters' Indebted series. I was equal parts anxious for this book and terrified of it. I have never been so scared and stressed out while reading before. At about the 40% point or so I wanted to rip my damn hair out. Seriously, it made me binge eat junk food and I have been working extra hard to eat clean!

Nila, Jethro and those they care about have all gone through agonizing pain to get to where they are. How much more can any of them take before they buckle and crack? Oh trust me, you're going to find out and live all of the pain yourself. I loved these star-crossed lovers from the very first word of their story and no one deserves a happily ever after more than they do. But is that really in the cards for them? Can they put a stop to this heinous debt inheritance before the final debt is collected? Blood will be shed, tears will be cried and you may even want to hide your Kindle in fear. (I don't recommend putting it in the freezer).

This entire book had me tense with apprehension. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next while simultaneously being terrified of it. I did not a breath a deep sigh of relief until I got to the end and knew no more damn pain was coming. What an epic journey this series has been and I loved every second of it. Thank you Ms. Winters.

Book Review: Endure (Evolve #4) by S.E. Hall #Giveaway

Unlike my usual book reviews, I am not going to do my short summary. Why? Well simply because I don't want to risk giving anything away, especially for the readers out there who love this series as much as I do. Now, the first book in this series, Emerge, was the first New Adult book I had ever read and I immediately fell in love with this author, this crew of characters and this genre. S.E. Hall's writing is emotional and her stories take a firm grip of your heart, while making you chuckle along the way.

I have been anxiously awaiting Zach's story for what seems like forever. Then I started reading the first half of this book and I was like "WTF is going on here?!" Not because it was bad but because it was what I expected and I was feeling confused and frustrated. As I neared the half way point, my frustration with certain characters hit a high and I wanted to scream at someone. But the second half, sigh, the second half was everything I had been waiting for.

Zach is such a good guy and he's been burned too many times. I desperately wanted to see him fall in love and be happy. I wish it didn't take so long for him and his girl to get their happily ever after, but it was worth the wait. Endure was a great ending to one of my all-time favorite New Adult series. I am sad to say goodbye to The Crew, but I loved the shit out of their journey. Thank you S.E. Hall for all the tears, the laughter and the panty melting hotness.

Book Review: Perfectly Imperfect by Harper Sloan #Giveaway

Willow Tate lost the one person in her life that loved her unconditionally. Now all she has left is a "family" of bullies who degrade her all damn day and night. (Grrrrrrr.) Their actions and words combined with her own guilt push Willow into depression and self loathing. It's not until years later when she hits rock bottom that she makes the decision to change. Though she is well on her way to having a better attitude towards herself, she just doesn't believe it when movie star Kane Masters shows an interest in her. This must be some passing fling or joke, because what would a guy like him see in a girl like her? Everything.

If you've read any of Harper's Corps Security or Hope Town books, you should know that this book really isn't anything like those. And that is NOT a bad thing, at all. You will still get hella hot sexy times and a swoon-worthy Hero, but there is a much deeper emotional level to this story that I think almost everyone will be able to connect with.

This book hit close to home for me as I am sure it will for many other women. No matter our size, shape, color, etc., so many of us struggle with self image issues. For myself personally, I have been struggling with weight and body image since I was in eighth grade. Heck, maybe even earlier than that when I was in fourth grade and a girl in my class asked me why my butt stuck. (Because my ass is awesome, bitch).I hated my body back in middle school, high school and into my twenties. It's not until now in my mid-thirties that i am finally comfortable in my own skin. Mostly.

Book Review: Sinful Longing (Sinful Nights #3) by Lauren Blakely

Colin Sloane might not have the best past, but he's gotten is act together and turned his life around. He's no longer the lost boy he once was but now a successful business man and loving brother. Now he just needs to get the girl and he has his sights set on Elle Mariano. Unfortunately for him, he is just the type of man Elle is determined not to fall for again.  She can't let her their friends-with-benefits arrangement turn into anything more. Can Colin get her to trust him and not let his past dictate their future?

What is it about a man in a suit with lots of delicious tattoos hidden underneath that is so damn hot? I have been intrigues by Colin ever since we got that first glimpse of him in the first book of this series, and I was very much looking forward to getting to know him better. All of him. Sigh. Sure he's got some demons in his past, not to mention a batshit crazy mom, but those things have made him stronger. He's sexy and loyal and sexy and smart... and did I  mention sexy? Cause damn.

Elle has her own history and refuses to let it repeat itself. She is determined to protect herself and those she cares about from any more of her mistakes and keeps Colin at arms length for as long as she cans. I without a doubt understand why she had her hesitations but I also thought she was insane for not grabbing hold of everything that man was offering.

Book Review: Unlawful Justice by K.C. Lynn & K. Langston #Giveaway

The town of Harmony Falls, Texas has recently been riddled with crime. The once peaceful town is now in full blown chaos as things have escalated into deaths and disgusting acts of vengeance. Hate fill the streets and homes of this small town, wreaking havoc with no end in sight. Despite it all, is it possible for two souls at the center of it to find love? Just maybe peace, love and truth will prevail...

So this is one of those books that I needed to take a day (or five) off after reading it before I could sit down and attempt to write a review. Even now, almost a week later, I'm not sure my thoughts will be very coherent or even come close to doing this novel justice, but I'll try.

These two authors have come together to write a truly powerful story that not only engages your heart but your mind as well. (And, ahem, other body parts). It makes you think about the world around us, the hate that sadly still consumes the world, and what the heck are we going to do about it? As much as I wish it wasn't so, racism and corruption are very much a part of our society. Hate is an ugly, multifaceted stone with so many sides at war with each other. It's not just black vs. white here in Harmony Falls, but also good cops vs. bad cops; right vs. wrong and so on... and I was truly impressed how these authors managed to equally and honestly show all sides.

Book Review: Blindsight (Blindsight #1) by Adriane Leigh

Next book! Next book! I need it!

I can count on one finger how many books I have blindly started reading without ever looking at the blurb. And that would be this one. I literally had no clue what Blindsight was about, but that didn't matter because it's Adriane Leigh and I always enjoy her work.

So she starts us off right in the thick of it with a prologue that makes you wonder what the heck is going on. From there we go back in time a bit to see the events that led up to that point. We have Erin, a woman in need of a job, and Hunter, a wealthy and successful erotic photographer. He offers her a job as his PA, but you can't help but wonder if there are other motives behind their "chance meeting."

Their attraction to each other is electric and it's only a matter of time before their working relationship turns into something more. However, it's clear that they both have secrets and who knows what will happen when all is revealed.

Book Review: Searing Ecstasy (Guardians of the Realms #7) by Setta Jay #Giveaway

Searing Ecstasy is the most perfect title for this book as there is heat and fire everywhere in it. Literally. Fans of this series have been anxiously for the day the leader of the Guardians, Drake, found his mate. Well it is finally here and it did NOT disappoint.

So much happens in this book which makes it exciting and fast paced plus down right sexy. There's a God missing, mysterious warriors about and not one but two Guardians in the midst of the mating frenzy. All of these different parts mesh together for a phenomenal story that is very hard to put down.

Drake is forced to stay away from his mate, Delia, until the Guardians can find a way to help her. The result is an intense build up of sexual tension and desire. I couldn't wait for Drake to finally explode and unleash all of it on her. It was pretty damn epic. Meanwhile, Sander and Nastia are dealing with their own mating issues. I have to say I liked Sander a whole hell of a lot. Like maybe even more than Drake (unbelievable, I know). Plus I enjoyed the banter between him and his mate and more importantly, he burned up my kindle.

Book Review: Dirty English by Ilsa Madden-Mills

Events in Elizabeth's past have left her broken and distrusting. It's why she doesn't do relationships at all, just the occasional one night stand. She's content to keep it that way until the boy with the sexy British accent changes everything.

Declan isn't too trusting himself, but there is something about Elizabeth that immediately draws him in. Campus' sexiest bad boy also has a romantic side and he wants to be the one to heal her, to keep her safe... to love her. But there is only so much rejection he can take from her before he gives up and walks away.

Oh Ilsa. There is just something about her writing that mesmerizes me. From the first word, I feel like I am physically pulled into the story and nothing will tear me away from reading it. Nothing. When I reviewed her  first book, Very Bad Things, two years ago (holy crap!), I used words like consumed, captivated and exquisite to describe the story and writing. And those same words could be used to describe every book this woman has written, including Dirty English. She's just amazing and hands down a must read author for me.

Book Review: Slaying the Dragon (Deception #2) by T.K. Leigh #Giveaway

Slaying the Dragon is the thrilling and sexy conclusion to the Deception duet by T.K. Leigh and must be read AFTER Chasing the Dragon. Which means if you haven't read book one yet, you might not want to read this review.

Book one, which in my opinion was T.K.'s best work to date, left us with a heartbreaking cliffhanger. Book two picks up where we left off with Tyler and Mackenzie's relationship at a crossroads, if you will. This is the part where you want to shake up the H and h a bit and make them snap out of it and straighten stuff out. Alas, since I couldn't physically maul these two, I read on as they both dealt with the aftermath. So many factors came into play to keep them apart and it was agony, only made a tiny bit sweeter by the hope I held onto that eventually all would be OK. And there was certain family member who was a complete jerk here and deserved a good throat punch. They had such a long way to go but I loved watching them gradually get there. Second first dates and second first kisses and Tyler Burnham back in the bedroom. Sigh.

Book Review: Friction (Legal Affairs) by Sawyer Bennett

It doesn't matter how many books I read by Sawyer Bennett, I love every damn one. Her Legal Affairs books are some of my top favorites by her, probably because they are some of her dirtiest, and Friction is  right up there with the rest.

Leary and Reeve are opposing counsels on an upcoming medical malpractice case and they are totally hot for each other. The chemistry between them is combustible and I frickin loved how they teased and pushes one another. Especially in public. Gah! They agree to keep the case out of the relationship, but when Reeve has to choose between protecting his career or the sassy woman he's falling for, his decision could ruin it all.

Book Review: Dark Wild Night (Wild Seasons #3) by Christina Lauren

Christina Lauren is one of the handful of authors that I know I'm going to love the book before it's even loaded onto my kindle. This writing duo is amazing and they have another big winner with Dark Wild Night.

Like their friends, Oliver and Lola got married back on that crazy night in Vegas. But unlike the other two pairs, they got an annulment the next day. While the other couples are still together, these two opted to be best friends instead. Lola craves Oliver like no other man before, but she's convinced he doesn't feel the same for her. She couldn't be more wrong.

So Oliver. Sigh. I loved him. I mean I. LOVED. HIM. I think he took over the top spot from Flynn as my favorite hero in this series. I am a sucker for a sexy geek and Oliver is pretty much the definition of that. He may be on the quiet side, but in the bedroom he has a beautifully filthy side. Throw in the Aussie accent and dear god, don't even bother with panties. Plus his love for Lola was so soul deep it made my heart melt.

Release Blitz: Bad Wicked Twisted by Ilsa Madden-Mills #Giveaway

FOUR red-hot stories about the bad, wicked and twisted characters of Briarcrest Academy, featuring a dirty-talking gym owner, a football player, a sexy rock star, and a British bad boy.

Excerpt
Nora

“I’d like to sleep for a hundred years, wake up and try again.” – Nora Blakely

“Drop the paint and turn around slowly with your hands in the air.” The loud command was said with a deep voice. “I’ve got a gun, asshole, so move nice and slow.”
I bent over and placed the can on the pavement. I started to turn when— “I said put your hands in the air!” he yelled.
I yanked my hands up and eased around to face the owner of the voice.

Book Review: Sinful Desire (Sinful Nights #2) by Lauren Blakely #Giveaway

Ryan Sloane doesn't trust anyone enough to let them get close and he doesn't do love. Love is a lie. The only people who get that emotion from him are his family and he has no plans to change that. Until he sees her. The gorgeous Sophie elicists instant lust in him and he must have her. This will be nothing more than sex. Mind blowingsex. Except, it's already been more from the moment he laid eyes on her.

So I love Lauren Blakely books but this series has really taken it up a notch for me. Not only do we get the really hot sex that we love (and we DO love it), but there is also the story of the Sloane Siblings' cookoo mom in prison. Ryan is by far the hottest and dirties Blakely Boy yet and dammit he was delicious. I loved hoe he was both demanding and tender and despite what he believed about himself, very much capable of loving someone. And loving them beautifully at that. Sophie was strong and independent and I loved how she could stand on her own as master of her own universe, but then just as easily submit to Ryan in the bedroom. They were perfect.

Book Review: Sins of Sevin by Penelope Ward #Giveaway

The first half of the book was everything I've come to know and love about Penelope Ward's writing. It was deeply emotional, beautifully written and it sucked me right in. I fell for Sevin and Evangeline, despite their sneaking around. Their chemistry and the tension was just so strong I could feel it burning off my Kindle. I wanted them to find a way out of this mess and be happy together.

Then the second part of the book happened and I had issues. I was not a fan of what happened from this point on. It was still well written and emotional, I just hated the turn everything took. I mean how much bad shit can happen to one couple? The author kept piling on these awful, painful things and I just felt like it was too much and over the top.

Despite the fact that the second part of the book didn't work for me, I absolutely LOVED the first part. L.O.V.E.D. Which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. The good far outweighed the bad here for me and despite my issues, I do think Penelope wrote another moving and wonderful story.

Book Review: With Visions of Red (Broken Bonds #2) by Trisha Wolfe

Holy. Crap.

I have absolutely NO IDEA what is really going on but hell, I love it! We pick up right where we left off in book one with a sadistic serial killer on the loose and anyone could be him. One of my suspects has been cleared, but a new character has come into play and now I am torn in so many directions. When I say the killer could be anyone one, I literally mean ANYONE!

I didn't think it was possible to get sucked into the story even more, but I did. This second installment was even better than the first, which is saying a whole lot. Once I started it I could not stop. I'm not even sure that I blinked. it held me captive and at the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened next and looking for clues. And then mixed in with the suspense and guessing who it is, there is Colton. Sigh. Colton is amazing. The book alternates between Sadie's, Colton's and the killer's point of view and being inside of Colton's mind is my favorite. He is so intense and passionate and when he unleashes all of that on Sadies? GAH! Hot does not even begin to describe it

Book Review: Sweet Sinful Nights (Sinful Nights #1) by Lauren Blakely

Brent knows that ten years ago he made the biggest mistake of his life when he walked away from Shannon. He might not have seen her since that fateful day, but he's never stopped thinking about her. Shannon never got over her broken heart from Brent, the only man she has ever loved. Now fate has thrown them together again in Sin City and there is absolutely no way Brent is letting her go again. While their passion is still as hot as an inferno, can Shannon trust him not to hurt her again? And when she reveals the secret she's been keeping, will he walk away from her yet again?

Let me tell you something, those Nichols men sure know how to seduce a woman. Those dirty mouths? Dear lord! So Lauren gets right into it here with a heartbreaking prologues. I knew I was done for when the first few pages of the book made me a sobbing mess. But see, the pain was worth it because when we get an entire book of Brent grovelling and trying to make up for his assholery.

Shannon could have really held a grudge here and no one would have blamed her. But I admire her for being able to move on and not dwell too  much on the past. They were just so smokin' hot together and made for a perfect second chance romance.

Book Review: Paper Hearts (Hearts #2) by Claire Contreras #Giveaway

When I read the prequel to this, Torn Hearts, a few weeks ago, I was immediately hooked into this sad story and I couldn't wait to get my hands on Paper Hearts. I enjoy a good second chance romance but I also needed to see if and how this couple could overcome such devastating heartbreak.

Mia and Jensen fell in love as teenagers, but him going to college on the opposite coast and the situations that came with it tore them apart. Now five years later, Mia is in New York City on a temporary job before she starts her permanent one back home in California. But her temp job happens to be for the same publication Jensen works for. She thought she could ignore him, ignore the pull to him that is still there, but she is very, very wrong. Cans he finally move past the pain that tore them apart and find a happily ever after with Jensen? Or will this just be the closure that both of them need to finally move on?

I fell in love with Claire's writing in Kaleidoscope Hearts and this was another beautifully written story. I felt like I was living Mia's pain for her. The book is predominantly from her point of view, with some from Jensen in the form of his blog posts/articles. I enjoyed that unique way the author added Jensen's voice to the story. However, I struggled a bit with Jensen himself. He held anger towards Mia  because she never forgave him and let him back in. Excuse me Mister, but YOU are the one who screwed up. YOU were the one who walked away. I very much felt Mia was justified in reaction and I know I probably who have reacted the same way. So I had a hard time connecting with Jensen because of this. That being said, I did like everything else about him (hot dad alert!) and I very much wanted a happily forever after for these two. It was heartbreaking and painful at times but oh so good.

Marianna's Rating:

every once in a while I wonder.

Book Review: Ryker (Cold Fury Hockey #4) by Sawyer Bennett

Ryker Evans is the hottest goalie in the league right now; he's settled into single fatherhood with his two girls and life is pretty darn good. When the attraction becomes too much to ignore and they finally give in, they are forced to keep it from the world. Are they strong enough to survive the pressures of a secret relationship? And if their cover is blown, will it put a quick end to the career Gray has worked so hard for?

Book Review: With Visions of Red (Broken Bonds #1) by Trisha Wolfe

Police profiler Sadie always distances herself from the victims she's working with. She has to in order to do her job. But this latest case hits a little too close to home for her. She can't shake the feeling that something about this killer and crime scenes is somewhat familiar. That this is somehow personal. As more bodies are added to the killer's list, the darkness inside her seems to be growing. She's been repressing it for so long that when she meets Colton, she has little choice but to give in to him and finally let her dark side free.

Erotic thrillers aren't something I read a lot of and I am just now realizing what a shame that is because this one was fantastic. The author drew me in from the beginning and I was almost hypnotized by the story. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the next victim while searching for clues. And while all that nerve wracking crazy is going on, I'm also dying with anticipation to see where Colton can take her. When the two get near each other, I can practically feel the sparks. Where will they go from here? We know about Sadie's past and how it's made her into a damn fine profiler but Colton is a bit more of a mystery. Is there more to him than we realize? I'm really curious as to what his full story is.

Book Review: Cocky Bastard by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland #Giveaway

Aubrey is on a cross country trip to California to restart her life. When she gets a flat tire at a rest stop in Nebraska, her only choice is to make a deal with the cocky Aussie Chance. Little did she know how a road trip with a sexy stranger would change her life. Despite the nickname she's given him, she finds him to be charming and sweet and maybe she could see herself falling for him. But he has secrets he's not willing to share that just might make that impossible.

This book was refreshing and not at all what I expected. From the title I figured we would be getting a hero that was an alpha male with some tendencies to be a jerk and I could not have been more wrong. Oh Chance is plenty cocky, but in a cute and irresistible way. His accent and his dimples? GAH! I had several laugh my ass off moments between all of his subtle yet not so subtle innuendos and the goat. Dear God, the goat. Priceless.

Aubrey was a likable heroine though I admit to wanting to smack her a bit in the second half of the book. The first half of the book was told from her point of view and the second half from Chance's and I am not gonna lie, I absolutely LOVED getting inside his head. No surprise there really as I usually prefer the male's view.

Book Review: Forsaken (The Secret Life of Amy Bensen #3) by Lisa Renee Jones #Giveaway

Before you dive into this book, I highly recommend reading the previous two in the series first. Technically they might not be required, but I think you will have a better understanding of things if you do. As it was, it had been so long since I myself had read them that it took me a chapter or two for my brain to kick in and remember where we left off. Quickly I was reminded of how perfectly Lisa combines edge of you seat suspense with panty melting sexiness and I was sucked right back into the story.

Chad doesn't trust anyone, and given his past, you really can't blame him. Now he is in a race to get to his sister before the evil he is responsible for gets to her first. Enter Gia. She helps him escape but why? What are her true motives? Chad doesn't want to trust her; he can't afford to. But he is given little choice if he wants to save his sister and get the revenge his soul craves.

I have to say that Ms. Jones did a fabulous job of keeping me guessing at who was on Chad's side and who could be betraying him. Had he been trusting the wrong people all these years or was the newcomer to blame? I had my suspicions but they kind of wavered back and forth for most of the book. It was clear Gia wasn't telling him the whole truth and I was dying to find out what all of her story was.

Book Review: Fourth Debt (Indebted #5) by Pepper Winters

This series. Dear God this series. I've been hooked since the first book and each one after has been more twisted and more captivating than the previous. How much pain does one couple have to go through to get their happily ever after?

We pick up where last book left off, and I am going to be purposefully vague here in case anyone who has never read any of these yet is reading this review. Third Debt ended with the biggest cliff hanger yet and we are left wondering did that craziness really happen? Yes. Yes it did. What happens now? Nila has lost her only two allies in the hell that is her life, is there anyone left that she can trust? Pepper did a fantastic job of keeping us on our toes with this installment, wondering who, if anyone, was on Nila's side. Nila is physcially and mentally tortured at the hands of the three sickos left in charge and you can truly feel her starting to deteriorate and give up. Just when you think there is a sliver of hope that Nila might get out, the end comes with yet another twist and hope is once again snuffed out.

Book Review: Wicked Fall (The Wicked Horse #1) by Sawyer Bennett #Giveaway

Holy. Frickin. Hell. I'm not sure exactly where to start here but let me say that "wicked" is a very appropriate title for this book. {fans self}

If you read Shaken, Not Stirred from Sawyer's Last Call series, we met Woolf very briefly there. (It is absolutely not required to read first, but I highly recommend that series). Ever since that first glimpse of Woolf, I have been anxious for this book ever since. The author's promise that it was gonna be a dirty one didn't make waiting any easier.

After the passing of his father, Woolf is now the head of his family's multi-million dollar ranching business in Wyoming. While he does love the ranch, it is not the only thing he loves. He also loves sex. Lots and lots of sex with lots and lots of women. Which is why he opened The Wicked Horse with his best friend Bridger, a popular country bar with an exclusive sex club out back. His life was filled with plenty of random sex and going just as he wanted it until Callie walked into his bar.

Book Review: Searching for Beautiful (Searching For #3) by Jennifer Probst

Today is supposed to  be the happiest day of Genevieve's life. So why does everything feel so wrong? Should she listen to the voice in her head telling her to get the hell away or should she keep ignoring it, like she has been for years. Wolfe has a horrible past that he doesn't share with anyone. Not even his closest friend, Gen. They may have drifted apart recently, but he will always be there for her. Especially when he sees her climbing out of a window. He'll take her away from everything for a few days to get her head on straight and hopefully get his best friend back. Only he gets more than he bargained for.

Oh how I have missed Verily, NY and this amazing cast of characters. It is just one big extended family that all have each other's back I've been waiting for this story since the end of the last novel hen something seemed terribly off with Gen. I wanted to see her get back to being herself. Her fiance, David, is the most awful man ever and I wanted nothing more for her than to run away from him. For the first half of this book I was crazy anxious, just waiting to see if he would get worse. But I was also thrilled to see Gen and Wolfe get back to where their friendship once was before David. Anyone and everyone could see there was more to them, everyone except those two of course.

Book Review: Bleeding Love (Hope Town #2) by Harper Sloan #Giveaway

It's been such a long time since I've read the Corps Security books that it took me a minute to remember Beck and how much I loved him. He's probably one of my favorites from that series. Could his son, Liam, live up to his dad? Oh hell yeah he could!

Liam Beckett has grown up watching the pure love between his parents and he knows that one day he will have that for himself. One day seems closer within reach when Megan is brought into their group of friends. He knows she's been through hell and isn't ready for him yet, but that's OK. He'll wait.

Three years ago, single mom Megan lost her husband and best friend. The pain of that loss sent her to a very dark place and she hasn't fully crawled out of it yet. She knows Liam wants her, that it could be something so  much more, but she just can't open herself up to potential pain again. But after one memorable night, Liam is done with waiting. He's ready to bring his girl back to life.
