Book Review: Friction (Legal Affairs) by Sawyer Bennett

It doesn't matter how many books I read by Sawyer Bennett, I love every damn one. Her Legal Affairs books are some of my top favorites by her, probably because they are some of her dirtiest, and Friction is  right up there with the rest.

Leary and Reeve are opposing counsels on an upcoming medical malpractice case and they are totally hot for each other. The chemistry between them is combustible and I frickin loved how they teased and pushes one another. Especially in public. Gah! They agree to keep the case out of the relationship, but when Reeve has to choose between protecting his career or the sassy woman he's falling for, his decision could ruin it all.

The sexy times in this book were crazy hot. Reeve has definitely got some alpha in him but he also has a tender side. Plus he likes to snuggle and who can resist and alpha snuggler? That's just perfection. Leary came from humble beginnings but she never let that stop her from becoming a kick ass lawyer. She has the biggest heart in the world, which is awesome to see in a lawyer. Though it does leave her a bit vulnerable. Their interactions both in and out of the bedroom were great and I just gobbled them both up.

I really enjoyed this one and I think I spotted a setup for another Legal Affairs novel at the end there. And if it's about who I think it is then I can't wait!!

Favorite Quotes
“It’s irrelevant to me if you have a date tonight. I’m only interested if when you go to bed, you’ll be thinking of your date or my cock. Maybe you’ll call me tomorrow and tell me.”

“You know, you started something in that elevator. Your intention then might not have been for what just happened, but you did intend to arouse my sexual interest. And you, Leary Michaels, have no idea the beast you’ve awoken with your antics. You’ve invited me to come out and play, and now I’m ready to play.”

“Good, we’ve just entered fuck buddy–dom. May the odds be ever in our favor.”

“When we get into that bedroom, there’s going to be very little rest. I’m a fast recharger, so there’s no telling how many times I’m going to fuck you tonight. Plus, I have toys. Lots of toys that I want to play with. Thus, we need fuel before we fuck. Clear?”

Title: Friction

Series: Legal Affairs
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Erotica

Blurb:
At the powerhouse law firm of Knight & Payne, winning comes first and ethics a distant second. Leary Michaels uses her female charms to daze opponents, and it’s always worked well—until now. On her most personal case yet, she finds herself going up against a defense attorney just as skilled, shameless, and seductive as she is.

Reeve Holloway has never met a woman as sure of her own sexuality, or as ruthless in wielding it, as Leary is. But he won’t be toyed with. What Leary starts, he’ll finish—in the courtroom, the bedroom, or any-damn-place he wants. The sex is uninhibited, electrifying, and absolutely against the rules. Reeve’s job is to ruin Leary’s case…even if it destroys her in the process and costs him the woman he’s come to love.
