Knight & Play
Based on reviews I've seen in the past, I knew this was going to be a steamy read. I just didn't realize how hot it was going to be. Now 2 warnings before I continue:1. cliffhanger
2. cheating
I normally don't like to give too much away, but I know those two things are important to some readers so I wanted to put it out there. Generally I'm not a fan of cheating, though its not necessarily a deal breaker for me. Honestly, I didn't even bat an eye at in in Knight & Play. It felt almost justifiable to me, which is probably ridiculous, but it is the truth.
This is a sensual exploration of a woman's sexuality while she comes to terms with the reality of her marriage. And Lucien knight is just the man to help Sophie Black discover that part of herself. It was very much one explosive sexual encounter after another but there is also a very real and emotional story here as well. Both characters have demons that they need to face and battle and both may be going about it in the wrong ways. You do have to wait for book 2 to see what happens for them both, but it is not a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting to hurl your eReader at the wall. It just leaves you wanting more.

She tried to pull away but he held her firm. “Look. Tell me what you see.”
She looked, reluctantly. And she saw the same person she always saw reflected back at her. The same yet subtly different. More grown-up? More knowing? Black silk underwear, hold-ups, high heels. Long, tumbled blonde hair. A kissswollen mouth, and the liquid, sensual eyes of a satisfied woman. And standing behind her, a head and shoulders taller, Lucien. Shirtless. Beautiful. Sophie watched his every move in the mirror with wide eyes, almost too turned on to breathe. “Juicy.” He groaned as he slid his hand inside her knickers. “So fucking juicy.” He moved his fingers along her sex, still wet from the first time he’d made her come. “I want to lick your juices, Sophie.” Sophie could feel his erection pressing hard into her back, and all she could think of was how much she wanted him to carry on making her feel this good. The sight of them in the mirror was like a life size soft porn movie; she couldn’t take her eyes away from his hand moving inside her knickers. “Tell me that isn’t beautiful,” he said against her ear. I adored Sophie in this book. Thanks to Lucien, she has more confidence and backbone now. She won't roll over for her twit of husband and she won't give up on Lucien. When he pushes, she pushes back. She lays everything out on the line for him. And when most other heroines in a book would just let him walk away and wallow in their angst, she stands up and fights for him. So yeah, I thought Sophie was pretty damn awesome. I loved her, I loved Lucien and I loved their story.

Knight & Day
Kara and Dylan have an instant attraction and it is impossible not to adore them together. Their relationship is fun and sexy and I enjoyed watching it blossom into something more. Of course at some point the truth has to come out and everything blows up. There were so many points where I wanted to grab Dylan and yell at him to just tell her the truth before it got to that point. But unfortunately, men rarely listen. There are definitely some angst filled moments when you just want them to work things out. I thought this was a wonderful final book and while I am sad to say goodbye to Lucien and Co., I'm looking forward to more from Kitty French in the future.

Sophie’s disappearance. “I think we may have got off on the wrong foot, and for my part in that, I’m sorry.” He handed Kara her glass and picked up his own, turning his body towards hers on the bench as he settled back down. The top couple of buttons on his dark shirt were open, and Kara found her eyes following the tanned column of his neck down and wondering what he’d be like if he lost the shirt altogether. Balls.
