Off Duty by Sawyer Bennett
★★★★
I don't hide the fact that I'm somewhat in love with Sawyer Bennett. So I couldn't pass up a chance to read this spin off novella from her Off Series. We briefly met NYC firefighter Tim in Off Chance and now we get to see him find his HEA. This is a heartwarming and sexy second chance interracial romance where the couple has to overcome small minded opposition to find their way back to each other. #LoveIsLove
Rebound by Chelle Bliss
★★★★
Flash has had his heart completely shattered by the woman he loves and finds himself in New Orleans trying to forget. At least for just a little while. He doesn't expect the beautiful stranger at the bar to captivate him so. Will they have just one night or could this lead to something more. I really enjoyed these two characters and how they made the most of the time they had together.I loved how how they did more then just sleep together and was there a little voodoo magic in play their? Fun read!
Wanting to Forget by Toni Aleo
★★
Professional hockey player Jordie is visiting New Orleans while waiting for his leg to heal and trying to forget about the girl he loves. Not because she broke his heart, but because he broke hers. Will he find what he is looking for? I do not like writing a bad review of anything so I will keep this short and simple. This just didn't work for me because the "hero" is a giant douche. I found his actions disgusting and unforgivable and just no. I'm sad because I've enjoyed other books in this series and I wish I liked this one. This is just the beginning of Jordie's story and while it continues in the next book, I will not be picking that one up.
Closet Confessions by Kindle Alexander
★★★★ Oh how I love Kindle and her sexy M/M stories and this one has a little twist. A sexy ER doctor and a new male nurse try to fight their attraction to one another, but maybe it is OK to give in. I didn't see that twist coming at first but then when I figured it out it made me smile. Loved. This was a really quick one and I would love another book with the back story on these two and how they got to where they are now. #LoveIsLove
Healing Touch by Brenda Rothert
★★★★
Jocelyn is a doctor at the same hospital where her ex-husband and his perky new girlfriend work and running into them canoodling int he halls is the opposite of fun. She is 100% over him, but not exactly over the hurt. Carson loves fixing things and his job working on the electrical and mechanical systems at the hospital is perfect for him. When he helps the pretty doctor fix an issue in a room she needs, sparks being to fly. This one gave me a whole bunch of chuckles to go along with the sexual tension. It made me remember how much I enjoy this author's writing and how I need to catch up on reading her books.
Swimming in Shadows by Eden Butler
★★★★★
This was my favorite story in this anthology which is why I mentioned above that I was glad I got to finally read something by Eden Butler. This has some sexiness but also a whole lot of mystery and suspense as former SEAL Neil Ryan investigates his mother's death. There is a follow up book to continue the story that I already cannot wait for. Like, I signed up to review it the very next day.
