So this is the first Bella Jewel book that I have read and i really enjoyed it. A lot. It is told from dual point of views while also going back and forth between the present and past. You would think that all of that jumping around would be a bit confusing but I thought it flowed very nicely. I found myself curious about the back story of how Katia and Marcus came to be and then waiting on the edge of my seat to see what happens when she finds out the truth. And it is inevitable that she will find out, so you spend the majority of the book anticipating the big blow out.Marcus is one of those asshole heroes that you just love to hate. Although in the beginning, it was really just hate for me. The sex between these two is definitely hot, but then Marcus adds a deep chill with his cold, emotionless behaviors. He did grow on me as the story progressed and that frozen shell starts to crack. It is the tiniest crack, but it gives me a little hope that maybe he is redeemable.
This was quick and intriguing read that ends on a cliffy and will leave you begging for book two. I can't wait for the conclusion!
