On the other hand, Evangeline frustrated me a great deal throughout this book. I don't mind a heroine with insecurities, but dear lord I wanted to smack some sense into this one because hers were just too much. But then we ended with her finally growing a set and standing up for herself in a way and I was proud of her for that. I'm hoping to see some more growth from her as we continue on.
I will say I was surprised to see this end in a cliffy because that's not usually this author's style. But it is clear that there is so much more to to these characters and their journey and I'm looking forward to the conclusion.
