This is definitely different than other BDSM books that I have read. And Lucian Bane isn't anything like the previous Doms I've read about either. So many ladies were saying great things about this serial so I just had to give it a try! I will say it started off a bit slow for me but it picked up as the story went on and soon I was 100% invested. There is something about Lucian that just tugs at my heart. Like the way he hates inflicting pain on Tara, to the point that it noticeably hurts him to do so. Of course there are things about him that tug at other parts of my body as well. (see favorite quotes). Tara, however, annoyed and infuriated me. Repeatedly. Clearly she has her own demons to battle and I am trying really hard to be sympathetic to that. I don't see how with her attitude they can possible win this entire thing, but I can't wait to find out.Favorite Quotes

OK I am just going to say it: I. Hate. Tara. H.A.T.E. I thought that I might to start to like her as the story moved along and learn more about her and her issues, but no. Still hate her. She is just such a bitch to Lucian even though he is completely opening up his heart and body to her. Nothing he says or does is getting through that that thick skull of hers. I'd love to spank the shit out of her myself. I will say that the scenes where Tara dominate Lucian was incredibly hot. It seems that he likes being dominated almost as much as he likes to do the dominating and i think that maybe that is something he has been struggling with. I almost started warming up to Tara after that but then she opened her mouth. I hope she wakes up soon and sees what is right in front of her. Onto Round Three they are going and I am looking forward to it.Favorite Quote
