Book Review: The Seduction (The Seduction #1) by Roxy Sloane

Vaughn has what most men would probably consider a dream job - getting paid to seduce and sleep with women. His clients pay him to sleep with their wives and return with the evidence that can be used against them. Since he has no intention of ever dating or falling in love, this set up works quite well for him. Keely is a paralegal and the lowest woman on the totem pole at the firm where she works. Her boss is a complete jerk and the only bright point in her day is meeting with the sweet old man to finalize his will. Little does she know that she is Vaughn's next target. Or how meeting with that client just might change her life.

As soon as I read the blurb for this book a few weeks back, I was hooked. I needed it! So as soon as my ARC hit my inbox, I loaded it onto my Kindle and just a little over an hour later I was finished. It doesn't matter that it was the wee hours of the morning, I HAD to read it immediately. And I was not disappointed.

Vaughn has an absolutely filthy mouth and is 100% alpha all the way. I love all that about him but I also hate him because his job sucks and he's an arrogant asshole. There is clearly something in his past which led him to do what  he does, but we have no clue what it is yet. We also don't really know who hired him to compromise Keely, though I have a few suspects in mind. She has no husband and really is just a good girl.

Vaughn's seduction of Keely was crazy hot, but it also made me nervous not knowing what the hell was going on. He doesn't know why he was hired either, not that he cares. Seducing women is his job and there are no feelings involved whatsoever. Except it seems that maybe this job, this mark, this girl is a bit different.

Since this is the first book in a serial, it does end with a cliffy and a few unanswered questions. I am dying, DYING, for the next installment. This captured me on so many levels because not only was it down and dirty hot; but it also has me extremely intrigued as to what the heck is going on and who wants to destroy Keely. Bravo Roxy Sloane on an excellent debut novella! Now gimme the next one. Please. :)

"What do you want?" I whisper, knowing the answer already.

"It's not what I want," he says conversationally, starting to roll up the cuffs of his shirt. He does one arm and then the other, his skin golden and dusted with hair beneath the crisp cotton. "It's what I'm going to do. I'm going to eat you out, right here, right now."

My legs go weak. I want to counter, to say something quick, but all I can do is sink back against the bookcase.

I'm going to gorge on you, sweetheart," Vaughn leans in, his breath hot on my cheek, his eyes glittering, dark and full of wicked promise. "I'm going to lick that pretty little clit of yours until you want to scream. You're going to be begging for my cock by the time I'm through with you. But you won't make a sound, will you? Because somebody will hear. And we don't want anyone to know."

Marianna's Rating:

**I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Title: The Seduction
Author: Roxy Sloane
Serial: The Seduction #1
Genre: Erotica, Contemporary Romance
You like to think you’re different, special somehow. But trust me, I’ll have you wet and begging for it before you can think of all those bullshit, good girl reasons why not.
I'm your darkest secret. Your dirtiest fantasy.

Who am I?

The Seducer.

And I’ve never lost a case.

Until her. Keely Fawes. My mysterious new target.

Someone wants to destroy her -- and I’m their weapon of choice.

Her secrets could be my undoing. Her innocence will ruin me.

But I don’t care.

I’m going to show her how fucking good it feels to be bad. She’ll come screaming my name if it’s the last thing I do.
