Book Review: Off Course (Off Series #4) by Sawyer Bennett

Dear Lord. I have never wanted a hot Irish man as much as I do right now. Cillian, Cillian, Cillian. Sigh. Devastatingly handsome? Check. Tattoos? Check. Delicious Irish brogue? Check. Seriously, he couldn't be more perfect.

So we briefly met Renner in book 3, Off The Record, while she was visiting her cousin Lincoln.  Now she is in Ireland, working at her uncle's pub and trying to figure out what the heck to do with her life. She didn't anticipate running into sexy rocker Cillian again after their brief but hot kiss 5 years earlier. Cillian remembers her too and wants the beautiful woman she has grown into even more than he wanted the 17 year old girl. And he wont stop until he has her. Despite Renner's constant rejection, Cillian is relentless. How long before Renner gives in to her attraction to the bad boy Irish rock star?

Renner and Cillian together are beyond hot. Cillian is blunt and to the point and so damn sexy it hurts. So hot and sexy that I have so many quotes highlighted in my eBook that I am having a hard time choosing which ones to share.

"Don't wear anything under this. I want to be on that stage, looking down at you, and knowing that you're bare underneath. Knowing that I could walk up behind you if I wanted and within just a matter of seconds, be lodged deep inside you."

"I'm waiting for you to fucking demand it of me. I don't want you to ask, and I sure as hell don't want you to beg. I want you to fucking demand that I kiss you."

Of course they both come with their fair share of baggage. Renner's last relationship ended in betrayal and Cillian's troubled childhood certainly left its mark. His biggest baggage is his bandmate and former lover Maeve. Oh how I wanted to smack that girl. Repeatedly. Can this couple get past their issues and make a real go of it? Maeve is constantly causing problems and getting in the way; can Cillian finally say enough and put Renner first?

I have truly loved every one of the previous 3 books in this series and Off Course was hands down my favorite. Not only has each book gotten better as the series has progressed, but hotter too. And this book is definitely the hottest so far. I loved the story and I loved the characters. Well, except Maeve. Did I mention wanting to smack her?

Book 5, Off Chance will be Flynn's story (Renner's brother) and is due out October 2013. It will also be the final book in the series and Sawyer promises that we will get glimpses of the 4 previous couples and their HEAs.

Book Description: Renner Caldwell has her life perfectly mapped out. She has the ideal relationship, the perfect job and all is right in her world. When a shameful turn of events happens, she boards the first plane bound for Ireland to lick her wounds and get her head back on straight.

Cillian O’Braidagh is the sexy, front man to the Irish rock band, Over The Edge. His rising fame and sultry voice make him every woman’s fantasy come true. Not to mention his single-minded determination. To put it simply: what Cillian wants, Cillian always gets. And he wants Renner, because there’s just something about the flame-haired beauty he has to possess.

If their relationship was just about sex and rock n’ roll, it would be easy for them to get lost in their desires. Only their relationship is anything but a hook-up. Will lies, deceit and hidden tragedy get in the way, making the path to true love uncertain? Or will the girl whose been knocked Off Course, find her footing with the man who is teaching her it’s okay to lose control?

  2. This isn't my genre, but I like your style of reviews! I'll dig deeper to see if I find something up my alley. I feel withdrawal! College assigned reading has kept me away from reading for leisure.
