Who knew that a chance meeting at a bar could alter the course of your life? When Lena's roommate drags her out one night, she finds herself sitting alone at the bar. Until a handsome strangers sits down next to her. Though she tends to keep herself well hidden within her walls, he inexplicably has a way of getting under her skin and drawing her out. Eric has more than enough on his plate right now and really doesn't have the time for a new, inexperienced sub. But he just can't stay away.
Lena clearly has some serious demons in her past causing her to his in this shell. But Eric makes her want to crack them; to be her true self and finally indulge in her dark fantasies. While she is brand new to the world of BDSM, Eric knows it is what she both wants and needs and he slowly introduced her to it. What follows is a sensual journey of erotic exploration. I loved how Eric truly wanted to get Lena to open back up and of course I enjoyed the techniques he used to get her there. You could feel the pain of her past suffocating her and you could feel the relief when she finally starts to set it free.

Book Review: Throttle Me (Men of Inked #1) by Chelle Bliss
I am such a sucker for good girl meets bad boy romance. What first drew me to read this book was the title. I mean, Throttle Me just screams amazingly hot and rough sex and I am all about that! Yes please and thank you.
So Suzy is your typical good girl: school teacher, doesn't swear and has a plan outlines for her future. And that plan does not include tattooed, motorcycle riding bad boys. If you ask me, her plan sucks. City is a tattoo artist covered in ink and piercings and he is drawn to Suzy's innocence. he loves that she is a good girl but knows that there is a dirty side of her hiding under the surface. And he is just the guy to bring it out. To corrupt her. What starts out as just one night of passion turns into days and then weeks. But can Suzy stop over thinking and just see where this thing with City goes? And can City open his heart to love again after having it shattered once before?

Book Review: Almost Bad Boys Series by A.O. Peart
The Almost Bad Boys series are the stories of four feisty twenty-something women who refuse to let their past drag them down. The books in this series should be read in order. They are not stand-alone books.
So the female characters in this book, Natalie and her 3 BFFs, are absolutely hilarious. They've got some crazy antics going on which made me laugh out loud more than once. Colin has got the whole sexy, pantiny melting smirk and a little bit of mystery behind those sad eyes which makes you really want to peel back his layers to find out what he is all about.
Almost Matched
Natalie runs a succesful match making business with her best friend Alli, but she has had very little luck with romance herself. No, every guy she has ever dated has been a jerk. Colin has dealt with tragedy and heartbreak in his past, which has left him emotionally battered. For so long he has kept himself from feeling anything for a woman, but that changes when he meets natalie. Can they give their relationship a try without leeting their pasts get in the way?So the female characters in this book, Natalie and her 3 BFFs, are absolutely hilarious. Book Review: Defying the Odds (Battered Hearts #1) by Kele Moon
Melody Dylan has finally gotten away from her abusive husband and she is starting over in the small town of Garnet. Having left him with only the clothes on her back, she is starting from scratch and struggling to make ends meet. Her own problems don't keep her from doing something nice for a stranger. When she sees the handsome man sitting all alone in her station on Thanksgiving and looking a bit forlorn, she can't help but reach out to him.
Garnet is known for breeding world class UFC fighters and Clay Powers is the biggest and best of them all. While he loves fighting, and has multiple championship belts to prove it, he hates the media circus that comes along with it. His gruffness and surly demeanor keep most people at arms length. But that doesn't put Melody off which both surprises and entrances him.
Clay soon starts spending every meal at Hal's Diner and the two spend some time getting to know each other and connecting even more. While the sexual attraction is undeniable, there is also something much deeper there. Clay has really never had a relationship before but he knows he wants it all with Melody. After all Melody has been through, can she learn to trust a man again - especially one that makes a living fighting? And when her past threatens to catch up with her, will she give up something great to go on the run again?

When Claire walks into his store, her vulnerability wakes the dominant in him, which pisses him off. He doesn't want to be attracted to another woman and he certainly doesn't want another submissive. Book Review: Breathless (Jesse #1) by Eve Carter
When I first caught a glimpse of Jesse in Deceived - Part 2 Paris, I instantly liked him. He was sexy and hot and even a little sweet. And the scene with him and Chloe was beyond steamy. But in the beginning of Breathless, my feeling for him were the complete opposite. Now I kinda hated him. After suffering an injury that is keeping him off the Motocross circuit, he is numbing his sorrows by drinking, drugging and whoring back in his hometown in Upstate New York. Oh and let's not forget the bar fights. Total and complete turn off.

Book Review: All Grown Up by Sadie Grubor
I have never read a more frustrating couple as Chloe and Leo. And yet, their totally messed up story had me glued to my Kindle for 5 hours straight. I could not stop until I was 100% done. The book starts with a 14 year old Chloe in the summer before her freshman year of high school. Her new neighbor, Mina, becomes her best friend and she instantly has a crush on her older brother Leo. The story quickly progresses to the summer before senior year. Leo has come back for the summer and can't believe that the beautiful brunette is Chloe. Now he is the one that is crushing.
It takes a few month but their romance soon blossoms and takes off. Until the following summer when it all comes crashing to a halt because Leo was an idiot. Yes I am totally taking the girl's side on this one. He totally screwed up and because of that their relationship ends without any real closure. Over the net several years they try to move on but they both make mistakes that mess with their lives. To be frank, everything becomes a giant clusterfuck. So much drama and they find themselves entangled is a web of lies. It was a wreck, but a wreck I couldn't tear my eyes away from nonetheless. Could they possibly salvage any kind of relationship with each other?
This was a long book and spanned from Chloe's teens to probably late twenties. I enjoyed the story of Chloe's and Leo's sweet teenage love. And I love how hot things got between them when they were adults. I can't say that I loved all of the drama in between, but damn it made for an intense story that I couldn't put down.

Book Review: Deeper by Blue Ashcroft
Rain and Knight have both experienced tragic losses in their young lives. For 19 year old Rain, that loss has her making extreme promises to herself and traveling halfway across the country to escape the pain. For Knight, 22, his loss has kept him from giving his heart to another girl.
There are things I really enjoyed about this book and other aspects that were difficult for me. My naughty side thoroughly enjoyed the author's description of Knight's sexy swimmers body. My mind immediately went to the Summer Olympics with all those delicious swimmers on display. There were also some steamy scenes that had me yearning for more. I did like Knight a lot, despite his crazy over protectiveness. I understood why he was the way he was. And I loved that after initially fighting his attraction to Rain, he started to embrace it.

“Her eyes open and shine up at me, then close again as her head tilts back in pleasure. It’s some kind of heaven for me, some kind of home, and it’s been so long. I hold her legs around me and smooth my hands along her back. I need more proof that she’s really here with me. Cleansing me. Healing me. Rain.” |
