Book Review: Temper For You (For You #3) by Genna Rulon

Meg has secrets. Lots and lots of secrets that she keeps buried so deep not a single person in her life knows about them. While she does have a handful of friends, she won't let herself get truly close to anyone. It's better that way. And she certainly doesn't want any kind of relationship with a guy, despite the fact that she is still chasing that ever elusive O.

Defense attorney Westly is a jerk and he makes no apologies for it. He knows who he is and he owns it: different girls every week, sketchy clients and all. He has absolutely no desire for long term relationships, not after what happened with his parents. But he'd be lying if he said he wasn't dying for a taste of Meg. It seems that fate is on Westly's side when he discovers that she is his neighbor at his new condo. Maybe now he will finally get his one night and get Meg out of his system.

But will one night be enough for both of them? And will Meg ever come clean about her past?

Book Review: Pieces For You (For You #2) by Genna Rulon

Samantha (Sam) Whitney was the victim of a brutal rape and beating at the hands of a sociopath.. Nearly six months later, she needs to learn how to move from just surviving to living again. Sam knows she will never be the same girl that she was before the attack, but she hopes the new Sam can be just as good. Griffin Evenson has loved Sam from a distance for two years, but he was waiting to make his move. His biggest regret was not going for her sooner therefor not  being able to protect her. He vows to never let anything happen to her again while taking his time building a relationship with Sam.

While Same never thought of him as more than a friend, it is pretty hard to ignore the new, bulked up Griffin. The connection they have is sweet and intense but so much more than physical attraction. And most importantly, Sam trusts Griffin, which isn't an easy thing for her. But as she picks up the pieces of her life and tries to glue them back together, will she be able to let a man all the way into her heart? Does she even think she deserves it?

I already loved Griffin by the end of the first book. He was my unsung hero who also happens to be a hot, guitar playing, singing sweetheart. It was obvious even then how much he cared for Sam. Then Genna Rulon had to go and make him even hotter. The months that Sam was away, Griffin spent taking his frustration out at the gym. So now he is a massive, 8-pack toting, guitar playing sweetheart. Is she trying to kill me? Seriously, all that is missing is a sexy tattoo and I would have hopped on the train to New York searching for Griffin to keep for myself. He is beyond patient with Sam as she tries to rebuild herself and takes things slow for her.

Book Review: Only For You (For You #1) by Genna Rulon

Everleigh has just one semester of college left and she can't wait to finish and start with her coffee business. Unfortunately, a series of viscous attacks on the female students has everyone on edge. The attacks are getting worse and the police don't seem to have any leads. When Ev's best friend Sam signs them up for a school sponsored self defense class, she is reluctant but goes because she knows it is the smart thing to do. Then she lays eyes on the instructor.

Hunter is pure perfect of chiseled, sexy man. Ev's first encounter with him is a disaster, getting her thrown out of the self defense class. But when they see each other in classes later, their witty banter has Ev wanting him as a friend. As their friendship blossoms, Everleigh realizes how much she is starting to care for him, but Hunter insists they stay just friends. Why is he holding back from her? And as the attacks become more frequent and more violent, will the monster be caught before someone close to them gets hurt?

I have a difficult time believing this is author Genna Rulon's debut novel because it was just that good. She did a fantastic job of blending a serious and scary subject along with every day life and humor. Because the reality is that even when tragedy is going on around us we do  have to continue on with our lives.
