Book Review: Wicked Sexy Liar (Wild Seasons #4) by Christina Lauren

I can't believe this is the last book in the Wild Seasons series. It's been a fun and dirty journey that I did not want to end. I was a little nervous going in being that the hero, Luke, is ex of the first heroine in the series, Mia. What a pleasant surprise it was to learn that he was not a jerk after all. Sure he might be a bit of a manwhore (OK fine, a huge manwhore) but despite that he's genuinely a good guy with a whole lot of love to give the right girl.

London doesn't think she is that girl. Nor does she want to be. Just one night is all she needs. Or maybe two or three, but there is nothing more than that. She was a bit frustrating at times, to hung up on the past actions of others and too worried about what her friends might think. Anyone could tell that Luke was all in with her, but it too London a lot of convincing. Which I can't complain about too much because I very much enjoyed all of Luke's convincing.

This was a great end to a series that I loved reading. Each pair of characters brought their own uniqueness and made the series highly additive. So while I am sad to say goodbye tot his crew, I also can't wait to see what the writing duo of Christina Lauren has in store for us next.

Book Review: Dark Wild Night (Wild Seasons #3) by Christina Lauren

Christina Lauren is one of the handful of authors that I know I'm going to love the book before it's even loaded onto my kindle. This writing duo is amazing and they have another big winner with Dark Wild Night.

Like their friends, Oliver and Lola got married back on that crazy night in Vegas. But unlike the other two pairs, they got an annulment the next day. While the other couples are still together, these two opted to be best friends instead. Lola craves Oliver like no other man before, but she's convinced he doesn't feel the same for her. She couldn't be more wrong.

So Oliver. Sigh. I loved him. I mean I. LOVED. HIM. I think he took over the top spot from Flynn as my favorite hero in this series. I am a sucker for a sexy geek and Oliver is pretty much the definition of that. He may be on the quiet side, but in the bedroom he has a beautifully filthy side. Throw in the Aussie accent and dear god, don't even bother with panties. Plus his love for Lola was so soul deep it made my heart melt.

Book Review: Beautiful Secret (Beautiful Bastard #4) by Christina Lauren

Ruby Miller has been in love with Niall Stella from afar for months. Although they work together, he doesn't even know she exists. Until he does. And now that he is paying attention, she is all he sees. A business trip puts them together every day and the pull to each other is impossible to ignore.

Sweet, sweet Niall. I understand why Ruby loves you so because I love you too. He is not the typical man we have seen in previous books in this series or in other romance books out there these days. You know, the cocky manwhore type, which admittedly I enjoy, but Niall is the complete opposite. And let me tell you what a breath of fresh air he was.

Recently divorced after 11 years of emotionless and passionless marriage, Niall is a bit gun shy. Ruby, on the other hand, is very open with her thoughts and desires, which really throws him for a loop. It is just not something he is use too. But he is drawn to her like no one else and knows he has to open up more if they are to give it a go. I loved his shyness and awkwardness and lack of confidence and Ruby did a splendid job of drawing him out of his shell. It was a long process but a damn delicious one.

Book Review: Dirty Rowdy Thing (Wild Seasons #2) by Christina Lauren

Harlow and Finn were married for a mere hours after a crazy night in Vegas with their friends. And those hours were filled with the best sex of both their lives. But after that night, they quickly got an annulment and went their separate ways. Since everyone is still friends though, and two of the group still married to one another, it was only a matter of time before they see each other again. Will they be able to keep their hands off each other this time?

Both Harlow and Finn have a lot going on in their lives and could use the sexual distraction. But soon, what started out as just distraction turns into something more. Can a relationship between them even work when Finn will have to return home to Canada soon?

So I had mixed feelings about Finn, especially in the beginning of the book. I mean, he tended to be an ass, especially to Harlow, which was completely undeserved. But when it came to getting down and dirty? Dear God I loved him. What that man could do with some rope is downright sinful. And wonderful.

Book Review: Beautiful Player (Beautiful Bastard #3) by Christina Lauren

Hanna "Ziggy" Bergstrom is a 24 year old graduate student in New York City and she has completely immersed herself in school and research, leaving little time for a social life. Scratch that; she has zero social life. So her big brother Jensen decides to stage an interventions and tells her she needs to start living. His big plan is for her to contact his best friend Will who lives close by in NYC.

Will Sumner has been a player since he discovered sex as a young teenager. He doesn't think that is a bad thing. His lovers know the score: he is not looking for anything more than just sex and he has multiple lovers scheduled for specific days of the week. (Um, ew!) Lately, however, his arrangements aren't satisfying him like they once did.

When his best friend asks him to help his baby sister get into the social scene, Will is happy to oblige. After all, The Bergstrom's have been like a second family to him. But he is expecting the awkward "Ziggy" that he knew 12 years ago, not the beautiful woman standing in front of him.
