Book Review: Full Contact (Redemption #3) by Sarah Castille

Events in both Sia and Ray's lives have shaped who they are today and how they approach relationships. They are both hesitant to get too involved, but for different reasons. Ray doesn't ever want to feel the pain of loss again and Sia finds it hard to trust in anyone. Can these two broken souls find love and solace in each other?

I love me some hot, alpha MMA fighters and few write them better than Sarah Castille. In fact, the first book in the Redemption series, Against the Ropes, was my first ever MMA romance and I have been hooked ever since. (On a side note, we get a few appearances from Torment in here and dear God how I still love that man). Ray, a.k.a. The Predator, fights with a crazed possession in the ring, and well, he is the same way in the bedroom. Both are a thing of beauty. I loved how Ray was often very caveman like in his conversations, which I found both funny and endearing. I was obvious he cared for Sia, but he had some secrets holding him back and I wanted to knock him around a bit so he made up his mind.

Book Review: Worth Forgiving (MMA Fighter #3) by Vi Keeland

Jax is dealing with the aftermath of his father's scandals and it is beyond aggravating. The paparazzi are hounding his every step and he hopes that getting out of D.C. will get him out of the spotlight, even for just a few days. His business trip to New York City to check out a potential investment is just what he needs. Including some work out time in the ring.

Lily has had a rough go of it as of late. After losing her father, she turned to the first man to make her forget the pain. Now she is having a hard time getting rid of the crazy, possessive jerk. She is hoping that once she secures a silent investor for her father's chain of gyms, she can finally get Caden out of the picture.

Sigh. Where do I start? Let me go with Jax because I loved him. I mean, what's not to love about a sexy MMA fighter who can talk a little dirty when needed? Add in the fact that he also looks damn fine in a designer suit and just...yeah. He's got just the right amount of alpha going on, not too over the top, and he knows just how to use it. Despite his father being the lowest of scum, Jax in the complete opposite. He is sweet yet determined to move things with Lily out of the friend zone.

Book Review: In Your Corner (Redemption #2) by Sarah Castille

Amanda has always done things on her own. Growing up with parents who hardly paid her any attention and were disappointed with everything she did has made her independent to a fault. She won't ask for help and she certainly won't let anyone all the way into her heart. That's why she lost Jake two years ago.

Jake's world has gotten considerably more difficult since his split with Amanda. He lost his brother and now he's running the family business in hopes he can finally make his parents proud. This also means he stopped his MMA training at Redemption. Needing legal help results in chance meeting between the two after not speaking to each other for nearly two years. Seeing Amanda has Jake wanting her all over again. He wasn't able to break through the walls built around her heart the first time around; does he have the strength to fight for her all over again?

I absolutely loved the first book in this series, Against the Ropes, so I could not wait to read this one. It can be read on its own, but reading book one will enhance it and I highly recommend it. I love a sexy, smutty, MMA romance and Jake (a.k.a. Renegade) did not disappoint.

Book Review: Fighting for Irish (Fighting for Love #3) by Gina L. Maxwell

I'm kind of on an MMA kick this week. I just can't get enough of alpha fighters with beautifully inked, hard bodies! Aiden"Irish" O'Brien is a former MMA fighter from Boston who is trying to get away from an unpleasant past. He finds himself in Louisiana to check up on his friend's future sister-in-law. Kat is also running from her past, but unfortunately her's is following her. When that past shows up, Irish is there to step in and help her. In protecting her, they spend more and more time together which leads to wanting just one intimate night with each other. And that one night turns into countless others. But can Aiden truly make her problems go away? Or will the secret about why he is there drive her away?

What touched me the most about Aiden was his gentle heart. Sure he is strong, intimidating and sexy, but on the inside he is also a sweetheart. With Kat's abusive history, there are obstacles to overcome in order for them to be together. Aiden takes his time to help Kat get over each hurdle one at a time. And the way he called her "kitten" just melted me. They were honestly the perfect fit for each other and I enjoyed their story. There is a little suspense, a little action and a whole lot of sexiness. This was another great book in this series and I look forward to the next one.

Book Review: Worth The Chance (MMA Fighter #2) by Vi Keeland

The last time was saw Vinny in Worth the Fight, he was just a teenager working out at Nico's gym. Now he is all grown up and all man. All ripped, sexy  man. With his crappy childhood, he's had little control over anything in his life until now. But fighting and sex give him the control he craves. Then he sees her again and everthing changes. It's been seven years since Olivia saw Vinny. Seven years since he broke her heart. Can she trust him to not break it again?

Vi Keeland has once again put together a sexy, angsty, MMA love story and I devoured it. Given Vinny's upbringing, his controlling nature in bed comes as no surprise but it is very welcome. Very, very welcome. His dominance is hot as hell and Liv loves it. But Liv makes some crucial mistakes early in their relationship and I spent most of the book waiting for it to come back and bite her. Which of course it did. It was different to see the woman screwing up for a change and things get a little chaotic. I was a bit unsure of how it could all be resolved. I wish we had a little deeper epilogue that gave us more insight into Vinny and Liv's future. But I am hoping we get to catch up with them in book 3. And I cannot wait for Jax's story as he promises to be a yummy one!

Cover Reveal: Worth the Chance (MMA Fighter #2) by Vi Keeland

Meet Liv Michaels
It may have been seven years, but I’d know him anywhere. Sure, he’s grown, filled out in all the right places, but his captivating blue eyes and cocky grin are exactly the way I remember. Even though I’d much rather forget.

Liv Michaels is almost there. She’s smart, determined and weeks away from landing the job she’s dreamed about for years. Time healed old wounds, even her broken heart from the devastation of being crushed by her first love.

Book Review: Crossing the Line (Battered Hearts #3) by Kele Moon

Wyatt has only ever loved one girl. When she left him without a word more than 10 years ago, she took his heart with her. Now she is back in Garnet and no one is going to stop him from seeing her. Tabitha didn't leave Wyatt because she stopped loving him; she left to protect him. But protect him from what, only her and a few other people know. Now that she is in town to help her sick mother, she will have to come face to face with the man she broke. Do they have any chance of reconciling with her secret still looming over them?

I have to say that I was apprehensive when I started this book because I wasn't very fond of either character. From the bits and pieces Jules mentioned of Tabitha in book two, I hated her fro breaking Wyatt's heart. But then I also thought Wyatt was a complete jerk for saying some hurtful things to Jules when she finally found her own happiness. It didn't take me very long to change my tune though.

This book is broken up into several "parts", many of which take place in the past showing us how Wyatt and Tabitha got started. Tabitha was the poor girl from the other side of the tracks while Wyatt was part of the well loved Conner family and grandson of the Sheriff (and then son of the Sheriff). At 5 years old, Wyatt didn't care about their differences. All he saw was the pretty red headed girl whom he instantly fell in love with. Over the years, with his ridiculous persistence, Wyatt wormed his way into her life and her heart and they become good friends. However she never let on how bad her home life is with a neglectful alcoholic mother and a verbally and physically abusive older brother. I could tell the direction Tabitha's story was going in and it broke my heart.

Book Review & Tour: Worth the Fight (MMA Fighter #1) by Vi Keeland

MMA fighter stories are quickly becoming some of my favorite books to read. I don't know what it is about them that draws me in. OK, that's a lie, I know exactly what it is. Powerful bodies, tattoos, dominant personalities. Yup, that will do it.

"But when I finally get you underneath me, I'm definitely not going to treat you like a lady."

Elle has sort of been dating William for a few years now. He is dependable and predictable and dreadfully boring. Both lawyers, they have a lot in common career wise, but there is no spark between them. And Elle has been OK with that, OK with the safe relationship, until she met Nico.

Former MMA heavyweight champion Nico has not been back in the cage since his last opponent died at his hand. While he still trains as if he is competing, the guilt he is carrying is tearing him apart. Elle knows all about guilt and how it can ruin your life. Her guilt has owned her since she was a child. Can they help each other finally let go and move on?

Book Review: Against the Ropes by Sarah Castille

A new man has entered my top book boyfriends list! I seriously fell in love with Max, AKA Torment, in this book. Novels about MMA fighters have really taken off lately and though I could care less about boxing, MMA or any tyoe of fighting in real life, damn I love these books. There is just something about a possessive, dominant, tattooed fighter that drives me crazy.

Makayla has graduated college and is an EMT, but now she is stuck in her life and flat out broke. She has no idea what she wants to do with her career so she works a crummy job in the hospital's admittance department. A chance run-in with a hot as hell MMA fighter at a local underground club changes everything for her. An abusive past makes her want to turn and run from Torment and the club as fast as she can, but she is too drawn to him. When Makayla is beyond desperate to earn extra money, she agrees to work as the club's physician on fight nights.

Torment has had his own troubled past, which is why he opened up his fighting club, Redemption. Fighting gives hm a sense of control, which he desperately needs. We soon learn that their is more to Torment than meets the eye. There are two sides to this man: Torment the fighter and Max the businessman.

Even though Makayla has a serious aversion to violence, she actually has a harder time accepting the Max side of him then the Torment side. The fact that he has money is something she has a hard time dealing with and makes her feel out of her league.

Cover Reveal: Worth the Fight by Vi Keeland

It didn’t matter that the ref called it a clean hit.  Nico Hunter would never be the same.

Elle has a good life.  A job she loves, a great apartment, and the guy she’s been dating for more than two years is a catch and a half.  But it’s boring…and she strives to keep it that way.  Too many emotions are dangerous.  Her own past is living proof of what can happen when you lose control.

Then Nico walks into Elle’s office and everything changes…for both of them.  But what can the tattooed, hard-bodied MMA fighter and the beautiful and always steady attorney have in common?  A lot more than they bargained for.
