New Release: Rebel Saint by Adriane Leigh

She found herself on the steps of St. Michael's seeking shelter, what she didn't expect was temptation so sharp and sweet concealed beneath one snow-white collar.

He rescued her from rock bottom, desperate people squeezed together by the desperate cracks of life, but their relationship was never innocent. The thinly-veiled attraction combustible, magnetism so explosive it rattles the very foundations of their belief.

But can their unholy love story withstand the fall?

Book Review: Blindsight Volume 2 by Adriane Leigh

I was so flippin' excited when this book hit my Kindle; it was literally a stop what I am doing and start reading immediately moment.Book 1 of this serial ended with Hunter dropping the bomb that he knows Erin's secret and we pick right back up from there. In turn, some of his own secrets are revealed, but I get the feeling he is hiding a whole hell of a lot more.

Erin is torn between running for the hills or staying in the comfort of Hunter's bed/ She makes the choice I know I would have made - Hunter. I mean really, there is just no denying that man. Some hot sexcapades ensue as they travel for his photography, but when they return home things get a bit frenzied. And then BAM, another mega cliffy.

I have some ideas on who some people truly are and some of the connections that are still unknown. But then with that ending, I'm left thinking that I have no clue what the hell is going on. There is definitely more to Hunter then he is letting on and I can't decided if it is good stuff or bad.

This second installment was steamy and thrilling and still has me hooked. I can't wait for book 3!

Book Review: Blindsight (Blindsight #1) by Adriane Leigh

Next book! Next book! I need it!

I can count on one finger how many books I have blindly started reading without ever looking at the blurb. And that would be this one. I literally had no clue what Blindsight was about, but that didn't matter because it's Adriane Leigh and I always enjoy her work.

So she starts us off right in the thick of it with a prologue that makes you wonder what the heck is going on. From there we go back in time a bit to see the events that led up to that point. We have Erin, a woman in need of a job, and Hunter, a wealthy and successful erotic photographer. He offers her a job as his PA, but you can't help but wonder if there are other motives behind their "chance meeting."

Their attraction to each other is electric and it's only a matter of time before their working relationship turns into something more. However, it's clear that they both have secrets and who knows what will happen when all is revealed.

Book Review: Beautiful Burn by Adriane Leigh

Reed is a high school English teacher and a college instructor during the summer. A few years ago, he had Auburn as a student and there seemed to be something between them. There was certain chemistry but they never took it beyond friendship. Since then his life has gone downhill rather quickly and now he is in the midst of a separation from his wife. And there is Auburn again, sitting in the college course he is teaching. This time, it is clear that she feels the same for him, but can they act on it this time? She may be of age now, but he is still ten years her senior and was once her high school teacher. The repercussions in their small town could be career ending for him.

Before you sit down with this book, make sure you 1. are in a nice comfy spot where you can stay for several hours and 2. have a box of tissues close by. Once you get started on this heart wrenching story, you will not be able to stop. And the tears will flow. A lot.

The majority of this book is told from Reed's point of view, which I absolutely loved. I'm a total sucker for always being in the guy's mind. However, I was frustrated with Reed. At first he fights his attraction to Auburn, not wanting to cross that line. It sort of seems to the reader that there is more going on in his life that we are unaware of. When Reed finally realizes that he and Auburn are inevitable, he insists on keeping their relationship a secret, which I totally get. But as it continues on for weeks then months, I began to doubt he will ever file for a divorce.

Book Review: The Morning After (Morning #1) by Adriane Leigh

Georgia and Kyle have been together forever. Since they were twelve years old, to be exact, and he was the only person able to break her away from her pain. But now their relationship feels off. Needing something, though she hasn't a clue as to what really, Georgia buys a beach house in North Carolina, where she is going to spend her summer. Not to be away from Kyle, she wishes he would join her, but works keeps him away and in D.C. As usual. She convinces her best friends Drew and Silas to join her though and she is looking forward to quality time with her besties and redecorating her dream home. However, Drew brings some unanticipated guests along with her in the form of her boyfriend and Gavin and his best friend Tristan. Tristan with his slightly too long golden hair, piercing green eyes and panty melting smirk. He is the definition of manwhore, but that doesn't stop the attraction. But Georgia needs to stop thinking about him. She needs to stop lusting after him every time he walks into the room. And she really needs to stop kissing him. Her life and future are with Kyle. Aren't they?

Now, I'm not new to Adriane Leigh's work. I read and very much enjoyed both Wild and Ridge. But this book? This book blew. me. away. Yes it is very sexy but it was also extremely emotional. I'll worn you now that if you have issues reading books that contain cheating, this might not be for you. Although I would strongly urge you to give it a shot anyway.

Georgia is pretty broken inside and has always counted on Kyle for everything. But without realizing it, something in their relationship has shifted. Or maybe something in her is finally waking up. I have to say, as the book went on and the more I saw how Kyle treated Georgia, I liked him less and less. In fact, by the end I was pretty darn close to hating him. So that probably made the cheating a lot easier for me to swallow. I wanted Georgia to be truly happy and I just didn't see that happening with him when it is clear he will always put himself first, his job second and then she gets whatever is left over. Which isn't all that much. Eff that.

Book Review: Ridge (Wild #2) by Adriane Leigh

Well this wasn't what I expected. Not that I can even say what I thought I did expect, I just know this wasn't it. Ridge. We knew from Wild that he was a bit of a screw up. I mean, sleeping with your brother's fiance kind of makes you the king of douches. I guess I just didn't realize the magnitude of his douchebaggery. Ridge had a crappy past, starting when he and Lane lost their parents. From there he just continued to spiral downward. Juvie, theft, drugs...until he eventually got himself into rehab and straightened out. Now he is a successful restaurant owner, but his demons still rule him.

Ridge and Mia never set out to hurt Lane, they just couldn't help but love each other. But he wants his brother back and makes one of the biggest mistakes of his life to try and expunge the guilt. What follows is just one mistake after another as he sinks further into a black hole, dragging others down with him. He is beyond flawed, and while I really wanted to beat some sense into him, I also 100% loved him. Especially when he unleashes his kinky, dominant side with a penchant for pain. Hot. As. Hell.

I am not exaggerating when I say that I devoured this book in just a few hours. It was a roller coaster of a ride and Ridge was a train wreck that I couldn't pull myself away from. I needed to see how, if at all, he could dig himself out of the hole he got buried in. Its not a fluffy hearts and flowers kind of romance, but it is painfully good and I highly recommend it.

Book Review: Wild by Adriane Leigh

Kat is running from a past that she would love to forget. She figures that the small town of Rock Island, Maine is a good place to start over. She's not looking for a relationship but one night with Wild thwarts her plans. Lane Wild usually doesn't go back for more than seconds with a girl, but there is something about Kat that he is addicted to and he can't get enough of her. They agree to a no strings, friends with benefits "relationship" but they don't realize how quickly they are getting under each other's skin. Can they both shove aside their demons and open up to something more? Or will Kat's past catch up with her and destroy the new life she has started to build?

Sometimes a girl just needs a fun, smutty and well, wild, read and that is exactly what author Adriane Leigh provided. Yes there is some angst and emotion and even a good dose of suspense. But what Wild is overflowing with is hot, dirty, smutty sex. And I loved every damn minute of it. Lane Wild has a filthy mouth and a cocky smirk and really, how can a girl not fall for that? This book delivered just what I needed and I'm looking forward to Ridge's story next. This was the first time I've read anything by Adriane Leigh and after spending time with this smuttastic book, I plan on reading all of her past novels as well.
