Book Review: Yield (Legal Affairs: Cal & Macy #3) by Sawyer Bennett #Giveaway

So after the super colossal cliffy in Grind, Yield picks up right where we left off. Things had been going well for Cal and Macy, but this recent development has Macy pulling back. Can Cal convince her that he will stay by her side, no matter what is going down?

In this third and final installment of Cal and Macy's story, things get pretty intense. While these two continue to burn up the sheets, there is so much more going on. Will Macy finally tell Cal her secrets? Will she seek justice for those that have wronged her? Will she revert to her old ways? WHAT WILL SHE DO? Gah! I feel like I was constantly holding my breath, waiting to see what would happen next.

And you know that secret that has been eluded too but we haven't been made privy to yet? I knew it would be painful but I didn't think it would gut me so. And infuriate me. I thought I had it figured out, but the added twist had me wanting to commit murder. Of course through it all, Cal was amazing. He was so patient with Macy when she needed it and I just love him. I flippin loved this series so hard and this was the perfect ending for Cal and Macy. Now who's next?

Book Review: Grind (Legal Affairs: Cal & Macy #2) by Sawyer Bennett #Giveaway

Some times you read an ARC and you think "Wow, that was pretty good. People should read it." And then other times you finish reading and you think "OMFG! That was amazing! Everyone needs to read this! Why oh why isn't it out yet so the world can know it's awesomeness!?!" That is what happened when I read Grind. Lucky for you all it is out now so you don't have to wait and trust me, you want to read this series. This book took two of my favorite things: 1. Sawyer Bennett and 2. a crazy hot sexual fantasy and put them together so perfectly. I mean I literally had to stop at the end of this particular scene and walk away from my Kindle to cool down. So good.

There are many great things going on in this second installment of Cal and Macy's story, but the only thing my brain can focus on is the hottest Sawyer Bennett sex scene ever. Wow, just wow. But in all honesty, it isn't just the sexy times that makes me love this book, but watching these two slowly growing closer. They make me laugh and but also the pain that Macy is clearly struggling with chokes me. It is palpable and I keep wondering in my mind what exactly it is that she went though.

Then there is Cal who is just amazing. Loyal, sweet and even a bit kinky - seriously the perfect package. I mean, he is no Matt Fucking Connover, but damn is he close.

We are left on the brink of something huge and I can't wait to see what happens next! I absolutely love this series. L.O.V.E.

Book Review: Clash (Legal Affairs: Cal & Macy #1) by Sawyer Bennett

Cal and Macy. Macy and Cal. When I read the original Legal Affairs serial last year, I never even imagined these two together. But dear God I think they are going to be perfect. Just a short way into their story and I am already completely hooked.

Cal has made some mistakes in his life, but ultimately he is a good guy. And a hot one. He and Macy clash together rather violently. They tolerate each other for their mutual friend Mac's sake, but just barely. It is mostly snide jabs between them. But you know the saying - love - hate - thin lines and all that. Well Cal and Macy burn that line to the damn ground.

We get a little glimpse into Macy's background, just barely a taste to make us curious, and I am anxious to learn all the details of why she is the way she is. From what I can gather so far, it is going to be ugly and painful. Frankly I am a bit scared.

How To Seduce Your Woman By Matt Connover

Deep down, all women are sensuous creatures. They think about sex… the same way men do. Maybe not as often, but with just as much relish. The problem is that they are often too reserved to voice what they really want so most want the man to take the lead. Here are my tips on how a man can successfully seduce his woman. Feel free to pass these tips on to your husband, boyfriend, lover and enjoy the resulting orgasms.

Book Review: Legal Affairs #6: Affirmation by Sawyer Bennett

When we last left Matt and Mac, Matt had retreated back to his old ways after an extremely unpleasant visit from his ex-wife. As this final installment got started, we could see him withdrawing more and more and it was inevitable for it all to come to a painful end. I was so damn proud of Mac in this book. With Matt's latest crap, I feared for her heart (and honestly, mine too). However she stood her ground knowing that she deserves more than he is willing to give. Walking away certainly wasn't easy but it needed to be done. We just  had to wait and see if Matt could fully wake up once and for all and realize just how much he needs her in his life. And while I sat here biting my nails, reading and waiting, Mac moved forward with a bold plan for her future and career. Bravo Mac!

The journey through the Legal Affairs serial has been sexy and hilarious and just a lot of fun. I loved both of these characters, flaws and all. Sawyer Bennett wrapped it all up perfectly.

Do you want more Matt Connover? Follow author Sawyer Bennett on Facebook and Twitter to find out when a book in Matt's point of view will be coming. I cannot wait to get inside his head (and pants)!

Book Review: Legal Affairs #5: Reparation by Sawyer Bennett

I thought I loved Matt Connover before when he was a sexy but withdrawn and stubborn ass. But boyfriend Matt? Yeah, he's pretty frickin amazing and awesome. I loved seeing this sweeter side of him with Mac. Unfortunately it is short lived as his ex-wife makes an appearance. Bitch doesn't begin to describe this woman. Satan is probably more accurate. The games she plays with their son in the middle are unbelievable. Honestly, I am surprised that as a lawyer, Matt hasn't fought for more custody. The brief meeting with his ex is brutal and undoes everything Mac has worked so hard for with Matt. Now we have to wait to see if the damage can be repaired. I am so looking forward to the final book!

Book Review: Legal Affairs #4: Mitigation by Sawyer Bennett

Dearest Sawyer Bennett:

Reading Legal Affairs is starting to make me feel like I have split personalities. One chapter I loathe Matt for his cruel words and treatment of Mac. His venom made me cry and hurt for her. I would have ripped his balls off if I could. Then a part of me feels a little bit bad for him when he calls in a drunken stupor. WTF?! I shouldn't feel sorry for the bastard! Then by the end of this novella I'm elated by his apparent wake up call.

You sure know how to make a girl feel crazy. And I love you for it. Matt has been pretty irresistible thus far so I can't wait to see what this new side of him is like.Thank you for this serial and for Matt and Mac. I love them!

Insanely Yours,
Marianna

Book Review: Legal Affairs #3: Violation by Sawyer Bennett

Ah-hah! We finally, FINALLY, start to learn a little bit more about Matt in Violation. While he very briefly opens up to Mac about his ex-wife (gasp!), we really find out the rest of the details from Cal. Now it makes sense why Matt wants nothing to do with relationships and why he isn't Cal's biggest fan. But no sooner do we get this revelation when Mac is hit with a tragedy. Will Matt help her get through this and will he finally admit to his feelings for her? Next book please!! Gah!!!

For this review I went in a different direction for my favorite quotes. I generally like to pick something sexy cause Matt is hella sexy. But what I also love about this serial is the humor. So here are my favorite funny quotes from Violation.

Asshole hadn't even bought me a Big Mac, and I'd made him howl with pleasure. Where's the gratitude?

Book Review: Legal Affairs #2: Stipulation by Sawyer Bennett

Holy crap, Matt Connover is so damn frustrating! One minute I love his sexy, alpha routine and the next I hate him for being such a cold ass to Mac. Working together every day has pushed them both to the brink and neither can hold themselves back anymore. Despite Matt repeatedly reminding Mac that this is just sex, she can't help starting to have feelings for him. When he brings out his caveman act at the mention of her dating someone else, you have to wonder if he is in denial about his own feelings. But it doesn't matter because Mac is done with his crap. If she calls off the affair, will she be able to stick to it? I can't wait to see what comes next for these two!

"I know you lied for the same reason I did. We don't want to admit this attraction, yet both of us are obsessed by it. You can't get me out of your mind, just as I can't get you out of mine. I'm tired of fighting it, and I'm tired of jerking off when I'd rather be sunk deep inside of you. So I'm not fighting it anymore."

Book Review: Legal Affairs #1: Objection by Sawyer Bennett

Sawyer Bennett is one of those authors that I will read anything that she writes and love it. After seeing some teasers, I was ridiculously excited for her Legal Affairs series to get started. I did not like this. I loved it! Matthew Connover is hot and sexy and maybe even a little bit of a jerk in the way he addresses McKayla and "the issue". McKayla is a strong girl and she has no problem putting him in his place. Their sex is off the charts hot and I cannot wait to see what happens next. It will be interesting to see how these two lawyers can continue to work together without giving in to the need to devour one another.

This is a super short novella that will leave you hungry for the next installment.
